Film jest relacją z wyprawy polsko-rosyjsko-peruwiańskiej pod kierownictwem Jacka Pałkiewicza. Wyprawa miała na celu poszukiwanie miasta Paititi, związanego z legendą Eldorado. Według niektórych źródeł jest to nieodnalezione miasto w dżungli, w którym ostatni wolni Inkowie ukryli swoje bajeczne bogactwo. Film przedstawia też historię poszukiwań Eldorado - od wyprawy Pizzara do dnia dzisiejszego. Dowiadujemy się m.in. o wyprawach brata Pizzara, sir W. Raleigha Quesady, wyprawie z początków XX wieku P. Fawcetta, poznajemy tragiczne dzieje Inków oraz kulisy śmierci ostatniego ich króla - Atahualpy. Podróżujemy do Machu Picchu i odwiedzamy Indian wysoko w Andach, dokąd Jacek Pałkiewicz z towarzyszami dociera konno. Odwiedzamy też nieżyjącego już ks. E. Szeligę, polskiego misjonarza który od lat 30. ubiegłego wieku mieszkał w Peru.

A report from the Polish-Russian-Peruvian expedition headed by Jacek Pałkiewicz. The expedition set out to search for the city of Paititi, connected with the legend of El Dorado. According to some sources, it is a lost city in the jungle, where the last free Incas concealed their fabulous riches. The film also presents the history of searches for El Dorado, from Pizzarro to the present day. Among others we learn about the expeditions of Pizarro's brother, sir Walter Raleigh Quesada, a quest led by Percy Fawcett in the early 20th century, and we see the tragic fate of the Incas and the circumstances of the death of their last king, Atahualpa. We travel on horseback to Machu Picchu and visit the Indians high up in the Andes. We also visit the Polish missionary Father Edmund Szeliga, who settle in Peru in the 1930s (he died in 2005).
