Film przedstawia sylwetkę Bohdana Kosińskiego, reżysera dokumentalisty. Bohdan Kosiński, człowiek o dwóch pasjach - astronomia i film, opowiada o swojej twórczości i życiu. Jego filmy zawsze pokazywały prawdę o człowieku. W latach 70. był blisko związany z Komitetem Obrony Robotników. To z jego inicjatywy w sierpniu 1980 r. przez WFD została wysłana ekipa filmowa do Stoczni Gdańskiej. Powstał z tego film „Robotnicy '80”. Jest autorem filmów „Narodziny Solidarności”, i „Wzywamy Was” (o uroczystościach odsłonięcia Pomnika Stoczniowców), zrealizowanych w 1981 roku, które musiały czekać na premierę kilka lat. Rejestrował rzeczywistość stanu wojennego, współpracował z podziemnym producentem filmowym VideoNowa. Był członkiem Komitetu Kultury Niezależnej. W 1998 r. był laureatem „Smoka smoków” na Krakowskim Festiwalu Filmów Dokumentalnych za wybitne osiągnięcia filmowe.

A portrait of Bohdan Kosiński, a man of two passions – astronomy and film. One of Poland’s most prominent documentary film-makers, in the 1970s he sympathized with the Workers Defence Committee KOR It was on his initiative that the Documentary and Feature Films Production Company WFDiF sent a crew to the Gdańsk Shipyard in August 1980. The extensive footage recorded at the time became the core of the documentary ‘Robotnicy '80’ (Workers ’80). Kosiński’s filmography also includes ‘Narodziny Solidarności’ (The Birth of Solidarity) and ‘Wzywamy Was’ (We Summon You – a film about the unveiling ceremony of the Monument to the Fallen Shipyard Workers in Gdańsk, popularly known as the Solidarity Monument). During martial law, he worked closely with the underground film production unit VideoNowa. He was a member of the Committee for Independent Culture. He received the ‘Dragon of the Dragons’ Award for outstanding artistic achievements at the Documentary Film Festival in Kraków in 1998. Bohdan Kosiński died in 2003.
