Film opowiadany w pierwszej osobie, o tym, jak się zmieniało i kształtowało postrzeganie i rozumienie świata przez Zbigniewa Dłubaka. Poczynając od intuicyjnego zachwytu 14-latka nad reprodukcją obrazu, poprzez kontakty z Władysławem Strzemińskim i sztuką jego kręgu - aż po świadome wybory i działania następnych dziesięcioleci. Na kanwie monologu powstał film o przemyśleniach, o wnioskach, o tym wszystkim, co wraz z malarstwem i fotografią stanowi „trzeci filar” działań Zbigniewa Dłubaka, co jest jego refleksją o sztuce. Materiałem dowodowym są także zachwyty i emocje, które stymulowały artystę. Jest to zwierzenie: „jak się zmieniało moje postrzeganie świata i jak to próbowałem przekazywać w mojej twórczości”. Oczywiście - nie jest to tłumaczenie, jak „pojmować” poszczególne fotogramy czy obrazy. Chodzi o rozmowę na temat pewnych obszarów wrażliwości oka, umysłu - i serca.

The film is in the first person, documenting change in Zbigniew Dłubak's perception and understanding of the world. Beginning with the intuitive wonder of a 14-year-old on seeing the reproduction of a painting, through his contacts with Władysław Strzemiński and the art of his circle – to conscious choices and actions of the following decades. The monologue is a background for a film on the considerations, conclusions, everything that – together with painting and photography - underscores the life of Zbigniew Dłubak, being his reflection on art. The proof is also in the wonder and emotions which have stimulated the artist. There is the admission: ‘how my perception of the world changed and how I tried to show it in my art’. Of course this does not explain how to ‘understand’ a photogram or a painting. The main theme is a conversation devoted to certain areas of sensitivity of eye, mind – and heart.
